I like the humour of the temporary name and I can see that it’s a benefit to the park in terms of bringing in cash and I don’t see that this specific instance is “excessive commercialisation”, but I do agree with those who are saying that it’s indicative of a wider problem with funding for national parks. Perhaps given the state of the economy this is the best we can hope for in the short term.
Those who are just saying “it’s not right” don’t really have a leg to stand on however, unless they can a cogent argument as to why. Otherwise they’re just saying “I don’t like it”. Tough. Life’s like that sometimes.
