I spent some time today potting pepper plants up into ten litre (roughly) pots. I say “pots”; actually they are twenty litre dairy hypochlorite jugs that I cut in half and drilled drainage holes in. I’m running low on bought compost, so I scraped up the remains of last year’s compost made from food waste and the contents of the compost toilet and put it through a sieve to get rid of any “lumpy bits” 😀 Actually it looks very nice.

Whilst scraping everything together, I found this little chap hiding in the compost bin.

Not sure what (s)he found of interest there. Perhaps it was just a nice place to hide out.
Having freed up a number of five litre pots as a result of potting on, I then potted up a few more pepper plants. I have so many this year and I can’t bear to compost them right now 😀

I also collected a few more tomatoes from the polytunnel. They’ll be in tomorrow’s lunch.
