Veg plot 2021: Garlic going great guns

Despite very little else growing outdoors at the moment, the garlic that I planted on 10th October seems to be going well. To be fair the onions are also looking quite healthy and I should perhaps post a photo of those to compare with how they looked when they were planted, but the garlic is the daddy for the time being. I guess having a bulb full of stored energy helps things along a little 🙂

You can see the level of sycamore invasion that I’m having to cope with in this photo too. I am however trying to collect them up either as I plant out or when I have an occasional drift up one of the beds removing the occasional weed. We do seem to have a bit of grass growing from seed which I assume must have blown in from somewhere, and ragwort seems to be another favourite: plenty of that attempting to get a foothold in the beds at the moment.
