Over the last couple of days I’ve been pushing forward with work to convert the polytunnel to “no dig” and today I’ve pretty much completed that. There’s still work to be done, with support wires needing moving and a little more wood chip to be put down (only a very small area that I couldn’t reach without moving things), but other than that I think we’re sorted.
I’m not sure when I’ll be planting in here next. It’s tempting to try to get a few lettuces on the go early in the new year to try to make sure there’s no gap between the ones I’m currently harvesting from the greenhouse and those that will crop outdoors, but other than that I think it could be the summer crops of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and suchlike that go in next.
