Strange day at the pool today. I’d done a single 250 or somewhere near that with the pool pretty much to myself when two other people got in and started banging out the lengths at around the same speed as me, or perhaps a little faster. They were creating massive waves in the pool around them though (not a bow wave from the head — more due to “bouncing” in the water as part of their arm action). Quite a few times I had a wave wash right over my head as I was breathing.
Anyhow, I stuck at it and finished 8 x 250m followed by 3 x 100m, all front crawl, before deciding I’d had enough.
