TL;DR

It’s a common response to postings on social media these days, the respondent acknowledging that they don’t have the concentration or interest to read to the end. However, today I came across a post in a thread I was following that I didn’t even start to read and I think a new abbreviation is required by way of a reply. It is “TME;DR”: “Too Many Emojis; Didn’t Read”.

If I happen upon a contribution that is 50% emojis and looks like it was written by a six year-old, I’m just not going to bother with it. It’s too much effort. And let’s face it: the chances of there being any useful or interesting information contained therein are vanishingly small.
