Today it occurred to me that I could get my own back on the squirrels who have had pretty much every walnut that has ever appeared on my tree by picking them early and pickling them, as I believe they have to be pickled before the shell starts to form.
I picked one and cut it open just to see what they looked like.
I think they might need a little longer, but I’ve never done this before so I’m going to have to do a bit of research first.
