Spiced pear chutney

I woke up on Monday morning and came downstairs (not necessarily in that order) to the wonderful smell of spiced pear chutney being made.

It’s a recipe that my wife found in a 1976 copy of the Good Housekeeping Cookbook. No idea where the book came from. It has a name written in the front, but I don’t recognise it.

The chutney tastes amazing. So good that you could probably just eat it out of the jar with a spoon 😀 I’m sure we’ll make some green tomato chutney too, but this is the clear winner. I love it.
