Whilst I was out risking life and limb by going to the greenhouse during the storm, I noticed that the mustards and lettuces that I sowed only five days previously were already starting to sprout.
I’ve never understood why people convince themselves of the reality of so many kinds of “woo” that are provably not true when you can watch this happen. If you need magic and mystery in your life, a week ago these little plants were a dry lump of “stuff” half the size of a pinhead. All I’ve done is added compost, water and light, and initially even the compost is optional. Is that really insufficiently advanced technology?
