Clearly forage is getting tough to find for the creatures of twilight given the dry weather. Fortunately this one is just eating weeds, though the roe deer have done a fair bit of damage in my veggie plot this year so I’m not desperately keen to see them getting this close.
Deer aren’t the only ones I’ve seen about in the middle of the day either. I’ve seen a few rabbits risking exposure during broad daylight, presumably for the same reason as the deer.
