Repeated the previous Swimfit session today:
12 lengths front crawl
8 lengths breaststroke
4 lengths backstroke
1 minute rest
2 x ( 2 lengths each of front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke ) 15 sec rest after each length
8 x ( 1 length each of front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, 30 sec rest )
10 lengths fast front crawl, 30 seconds rest every 2 lengths
8 lengths easy front crawl
It was significantly easier despite needing to dodge the school holiday swimmers. I wasn’t really troubled by the breaststroke and even the backstroke sections didn’t leave me feeling as though I was going to die, though it would have been nice to know that the 5m flags had been removed from one end of the pool before I got there 🙂
After completing the session I made the distance up to 2.5km with some more front crawl.
Based on today’s performance I reckon there’s every chance I could complete this session acceptably next time around. Famous last words 😀
